IrockFreakWarrantOn Saturday May 10th, WARRANT was scheduled to play a benefit concert for the November 17th Tornado Victims in Washington, Illinois. Now depending on who you speak with you will get different stories as to why the concert did not happen at the original venue and why WARRANT ended up pulling out of the show at Freakster’s Roadhouse.

Facebook blew up with a lot of negative feedback on the band and on Monday May 12th, I too took to Facebook looking for answers and even offered WARRANT the opportunity to come on to my show to give their side of the events that led to them not headlining the show the day of the event.

Well METAL SLUDGE picked up the story. You can see it here.

A few days later, WARRANT front man Robert Mason called me in the office to share his take, but didn’t want to go on the air.

WARRANT has since released a Press Release on the situation that was picked up by Metal Sludge that can be read here.

December 12, 2005. We had wrapped up an evening at Reality Bites for our company’s Christmas Party and as we were gearing up for bed, Molly discovered a lump in her right breast. To make a long story short, her doctor was extremely proactive and it allowed us to treat the cancer at an early stage and Molly beat the disease, only for it to reemerge in October of 2008. A few months later, tests revealed that there weren’t any signs of cancer and her latest treatment had been a success.

It’s now April of 2014 and we haven’t looked back. We are still proactive with our health and we continue to do Relay For Life of McLean County as a way to give back, show support, and to remember those who have lost their battle.

I am currently looking at doing numerous fundraising events with area businesses, so if you are interested, please contact me. Especially if you have an interest in hosting or being a part of the 7th ANNUAL I-ROCK OPEN that we’re hoping to get scheduled by the end of August so the money raised can go towards the 2014 fundraising.

My friends at Laughing Dog Graphics have always been great supporters of the cause and they will once again be designing the annual Team T-shirts that will feature the logos of businesses that have helped my team raise funds by either hosting events or making a donation to be on the t-shirt.

Finally, you can also reach out to Justin Boyd at Country Financial to set up an insurance review. He’s not going to sell you anything. He’s just going to make sure you have the right coverage and that you’re paying the best price for it. By setting up a review, he will donate $10.00 to my team for every review that is scheduled with me being the reference.

Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Join my team or make a donation through the Relay For Life Website.

Thanks!
